"The Empire of Candour"

“The Empire of Candour” was born out of the desire to be a part of this delicate and candid world of pigeons. This metaphor mirrors human society through the eyes and personalities of these wonderful pigeons. Being drawn into this fantasy world, the story gradually unfolds as the viewer relates to each character, generating within us the understanding that when the world is hurt and broken, salvation always comes through Love and Candour.
The work is oil on linen, made in a realistic manner and still using a graphic technique translated by me in painting. The influence of the early years in graphics led me to a pictorial manner using the brush as a graphic tool in painting. The exquisite Italian linen canvas crafted by the renowned Tuscan manufacturer Leonardesca, with its unparalleled extra-fine grain, provided the perfect environment—an immaculate foundation where every brushstroke could unfold with precision, depth, and brilliance.
